Don Nichols heads up the Veterans Job Fair and Business Opportunity Summit

TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — For many veterans coming home from a war zone, picking their lives up where they left off can be hard.

Finding a job can sometimes be even harder.

More than 18.3 percent of veterans ages 20 to 24 are unemployed, and for Don Nichols, of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, these numbers are not acceptable.

That’s why he heads up the Veterans Job Fair and Business Opportunity Summit, which begins 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Muskogee Civic Center.

“Our main purpose is to help veterans find work, or give them ideas for business opportunities,” Nichols said.
