Log In Issues

Why do I need to log in?
There are certain areas of our website that should be accessible to Members only, such as the Supply Room, Chapter and Department forms, address information, email addresses, and other content.

I have tried several times and am not able to log in!
Our new website requires that you request a NEW Username and Password. The old system of using your Username and Membership number will no longer work. You only need to submit this request once. Once we have set you up in the system with the correct access levels, you will be responsible for maintaining your password and email address.

I received my new username and password and it does not work!
Yes, it does. Your Username needs to be entered correctly but IS NOT case sensative. Your password, on the other hand, IS case sensative, and needs to be entered EXACTLY as you receive it in the email. These are autogenerated passwords and we have no control over their format.
The easiest way to do this is to highlight and copy this password using Windows, and then pasting it into the password box.

How am I supposed to remember a password like that?
We recommend that upon your first successful log in with the autogenerated password, you immediately proceed to the 'Change Your Password' page and change it to something more easily recognized. Passwords need to be AT LEAST seven characters long AND contain AT LEAST one nonalphanumeric character such as an @, $, or ?
The 'Change Your Password' link can be located by clicking on the Members Section at the top of the menu list to the left of every page. It is also located on the default Member page after you log in.

I forgot my password!
Not a problem. Simply enter your Username into the 'Forgot Your Password' area and a new autogenerated Password will be sent to the email address that we have here on file at HQ for you. That is why it is so important for you to keep this email address up to date.

I attempted to log in but was unsuccessful. Now when I go to the forgot password area and enter my username, a message says 'Unable to retreive information about me'. What do I do now?
At this point, you will need to send us an email to unlock your Username. The system allows five unsuccessful attempts to log in, then it locks you out. This is by design.

Why did you change the process? The old way was so much more simpler.
And not as secure. Our new website is built on the latest technologies available to us and is far more secure than the old site. All of you have read the stories about Identity theft, Phishing Scams, and Credit Card fraud which is occurring on the Internet. One statistic states that every three seconds, a persons Identity is stolen via the Internet. While we DO NOT make credit card or other highly secure information about our Members available, we found it only prudent to implement a more robust security model than was present on the old site.
