Captain James Casti is a 33-year USMC veteran. His service with the Military Order of the Purple Heart includes serving as the Department of North Carolina Commander
for four years and as the Senior Vice Commander for two years. He was the Chapter
Commander of MOPH Chapter 639 in Carteret County for 10 years and has been a Chapter
member since.
He
presently serves as a Purple Heart Trail Coordinator on the national level, which
currently has 28 states involved in the program.
