Military Order of the Purple Heart National Convention
The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) and the Ladies Auxiliary of the MOPH (LAMOPH) are pleased to announce that the national convention was held this year in Orlando, Florida during the week of 10-14 August 2010, at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center.
This annual event brought together the Commanders and delegates of the Order’s Regions, Departments, Chapters and Units to elect the National Leadership of the Order for the upcoming year. Delegates participated in training sessions, reviewed the business of the past year, approved new governing amendments and organizational bylaw changes, and set an agenda for the coming year.
Patriots were treated to several educational and elightening presentations by The
Service Foundation's Steve Ruckman, Ken Smith, National Surgeon Ken Lee and others.

On Thursday August 12, 2010, The Order sponsored a Charity Golf Classic Tournament to benefit the Polytrauma Center at the James A. Haley VA Medical Hospital, Tampa, Florida. The tournament was held at the famed Walt Disney World Palm Golf Course, home to the longest running PGA TOUR event in Florida. It featured incredible prizes, food, and fun. It was a great success and we were able to raise
$42,000 for the Center.
