Siebels, a MOPH member since 1985, has served as Chapter Commander, Department Commander,
Commander of Region III as well as National Americanism Officer.
He has also served as the National Purple Heart Trail Coordinator. . . . . As an Army NCO, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam in four different units and was wounded in August of 1969. He applied for Warrant Officer Status in 1975 and after 20 years of military service he retired in 1987 as a CW4. . . . . After leaving
the Army he returned home to Alaska where he worked as the Fleet Equipment supervisor
for a major utility company and has since retired a second time. . . . . He and
his wife Elaine met in High school and were married in 1967. They reside in Anchorage,
Alaska and have two sons, Lance and Eric. Lance was a passenger in a vehicle accident
in 1987 and died later the same day. Lance was buried at the Ft Richardson National
cemetery. Their son Eric resides in Anchorage. |
