Aleks Morosky is the National Legislative Director of the Military Order of the Purple Heart since 2016. He is primarily responsible for communicating the Order’s legislative agenda to the United States Congress, federal departments and agencies, and other organizational stakeholders in the veterans’ community.
Aleks served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army for seven years, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He deployed to Kosovo in 2000 as a member of the 1st Armored Division and twice to Iraq from 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. Patriot Morosky was wounded on February 15, 2006 when his night patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device near Mahmoudiyah, Iraq.
Following his military career, Aleks graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Political Science using the GI Bill. Prior to his work with MOPH, he served as a veterans and military aide to Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro from 2011-2013 and the Deputy Director of the National Legislative Service of the Veterans of Foreign Wars from 2013-2016.
Joining MOPH in 2007, Aleks is a Life Member of MOPH George Washington Chapter 1 in Derby, CT. He currently resides in Washington, D.C.
